Dr .G. Carl. Anbunathan & Dr.Ranjitham Anbunathan

The Founder Dr.G.C.Anbunathan was born as the 5th child of a Christian pastor couple at Pudukkottai village, South India. He was educated at his village and stood first in his final and got the prestigious star mark in the whole of Pudukkottai province.

He was given financial assistance to join the Madras Medical College by the then bishop of Tranquebar Rt. Rev. Carl Sandegren and his wife ( Both Swedish missionaries ).After his medical graduation he joined the Queen’s Army as a Captain and served in Europe during the Second World War. Then he joined Christian Mission Hospital , Madurai, South Tamilnadu to serve the poor and Downtrodden. He did his graduation in medical Radiologist at Madras Medical College .

During 1953 to 1958 he did his M .R .C. P in Edinburgh University , United kingdom at that time he worked under the world renowned Endocrinologist Dr.Prof. Davidson of England. He came back to India to once again serve in Christian Mission Hospital, Madurai.

He joined the Madurai Medical college as a Honorary professor of medicine and during this period he started “ THE DIABETIC CLINIC “in Madurai Medical college and served a large multitude of diabetic patients down south. For his Extraordinary work in diabetes he was awarded FRCP by the Edinburgh University . He was an examiner for postgraduate and Undergraduate students in many universities across the country.
